I would like to place a volume pot between the pickup in my acoustic guitar and the powerjack preamp. Is this possible, and how? I have an email in to Fishman, but no reply yet.

I think the vol goes to the pre.
It doesn't have a vol mounted in the soundhole?
How about a volume pedal?
I always use one.

I have one that plugs into the output jack. Although I have thought the same thing. I think I saw John Lennon with and acoustic that had pots on it. Looked cool.

That guitar has a magnetic pickup, no preamp needed.

Check the Stew-Mac catalog, they offer a 25K pot.

I was just showing it as an example of a guitar with knobs on the top as an aesthetic reference...

Heard from Fishman. Thought I'd post the pdf they sent, along with another question.
Here's the pdf.

Question: in the pdf instructions, there is a point where it says "remove jumper". Can anyone tell me how to do this?

On the "Rear View" they indicate that there is a jumper over a couple of pins there between the wires.

It should be a small piece of plastic you can just pull off with your fingers.
