Post subject:  string spacing.... gibson vs fender

Hey folks, I havent found a simple answer to this online anywhere - can I use a typical gibson string spacing when using single coils? are their pole pieces spaced appropriately for such a spacing?

Fender spacing is wider than Gibson,
so, you've got your bridge?
Make sure you get the right spacing on the pups.
I just measured 3 different pups.
EMG single coil 2- 1/32".
Seymour Duncan hummers (trans trem) 2-1/16".
Cheap P-90 knock offs 1-15/16".
Blade type single coils would work,
because they gots no pole pieces.
