Post subject: | Question about a router bit |
Does anyone know where I can get a spiral cut flush trim but with the bearing on the bottom instead of the top? I would prefer a 1/4" shank but can do 1/2". I've been looking a lot an cant seem to find one. Any help would be appreciated. |

http://www.google.com/products/catalog? ... CHoQ8wIwAg Here's one. Don't know if it's the BEST place to get one, but they're available. |

Thanks but that has the bearing on top, I'm looking for one on the bottom. Incidentally I have that exact bit already. It's a good bit! |

Here's a different spin: http://www.amanatool.com/bits-fv/46192.html and another: http://www.amanatool.com/bits-fv/46300.html and another: http://www.amazon.com/RFT5200-CARBIDE-UP-CUT-SPIRAL-ROUTER/dp/B0012JI870 |

I'm looking for one with a top guide bearing, like you use on a plunge bit |

Spiral bits are mainly designed for CNC use and plunge cutting. Never seen one with the bearing between the shank and flutes. You could use this bit with a 1/2" shank and a 3/4" cut http://routerbitworld.com/Amana-46109-S ... 046109.htm Use it with a guide collar and you will get the same effect, just more trouble to set up and not as smooth, that is of course if you don't have coronary when you see the price on the bit. |
