I don't like that he slams other builders the way he does. It's one thing to talk about declining quality, poorly cut nuts, etc as part of a general conversation, but it's not very classy to do it as part of your marketing plan. Other than that, his site is entertaining and I think pretty obviously tongue in cheek. But before you dismiss him, here's something to keep in mind. I don't think I've ever read a bad review about any of his guitars. The owners that chime up always seem thrilled with their guitars. I don't think I've ever seen a used one for sale. He seems to be busily building and selling guitars, leaving a wake of happy customers. |

It is an absolute joy to be involved in this golden age of lutherie, for the most part it has shown the best of human kind, so many great builders have shared and made this happen for all of us, they and we deserve respect for getting off the couch and sharing our joy in the shop in the form of a stringed instrument. |
