After more than 50 acoustics, this was my first electric, and was a fun project that required a different skill set. Will I make more, well there are two more ordered! The guitar is based on the Gibson CS336/356. Body: Chambered mahogany Top: Quilted maple Neck: Mahogany FB: Ebony Pickups: Parsons Street Golden age Tuners, Bridge and Tailpiece: Gotoh. Finish: Liberon finishing oil. A few pictures: The internal chambering. And this is what they call the money shot but doesn't do justice to the depth of figure in the maple in hand. Colin |

I think Gibson would be proud to claim it as one of their products. Nicely done! |

Thanks all, my customer is very happy, which is the important thing, but it's nice to be appreciated. Filippo, sorry can't agree with any of your observations. My customer's playing style, (Knopplerish) dictated that a slightly raised pickguard was needed as a finger rest for him, and we jointly decided on the black to match the binding, knobs and pickup mounting rings and fingerboard. We also decided on dark mahogany for both covers, on the control cavity and truss rod, as a colour palette blend with the mahogany of the neck and body. Still it wouldn't do for us all to agree, sorry you didn't like it as it is, but that's the way it stays. Colin |

I like everything about that guitar, Colin. That Liberon finish looks great, I think I might have to try it for my next build. Did you have to level it or just buff with rottenstone? |

Sweet ax man! Nicely done. There is one thing I would change about it though...I would have given it to me! How did you like the liberon? |
