I am using the build technique shown by Chris Greed http://www.greedguitars.blogspot.com.au/2007_10_01_archive.html

Looking at my shaped blanks and my plans, my guitar will be only 1" thick at the edges. Too thin? Unlike the 335, I am planning only have the centre block extend to just below the stoppiece mounting point (ala 336), reducing the weight etc. Thickness of top will be 5mm.

Also thinking about mounting the jack on side instead of front. Comments?

ps. I'm going to use a water colour (Ubeaut) to give a deep cherry colour (red with a drop of blue?). Timber grain and fiddleback will still be visible. Planning to finish with Ubeaut Hard Shellac. It will probably be a squeeze to get the pots in so will look for minis. Planning to install SD Triple Shots to give desired range of sounds.

Comments/guidance appreciated.
