Can someone give a cut out dimension for a P-90 using a dog ear cover?

From StewMac:
#3380 Soap-bar cover Dimensions 3-3/8" x 1-3/8" x 5/8" (85.73mm x 34.93mm x 15.88mm)
Polepiece spacing 50mm (1.96")
Mounting screws P-90 Mounting Screws for Solidbody

#3379-B Dog-ear cover Dimensions 4-11/16" x 1-5/8" x 7/16" (119.06mm x 41.28mm x 11.11mm) overall.
Raised area covering the pickup coils is 3-3/8" long (85.73mm).
Mounting screw spacing 3-13/16" (96.84mm)
Polepiece spacing 50mm (1.96")
Mounting screws Phillips Tuner Screw, nickel

Not sure this tells you what you need to know, they usually have a spec with dimensioned drawings.

Thanks Rodger, I need the actual cavity dimensions. I think I could extrapolate them from the cover dimensions but thought I would ask first.

Hmmmm, didn't figure this to be a stump the band type question.

I'm making some P-90 rings at the moment but I can't help you, Brain. I pop the plastic cap off the P-90's and replace it with custom rings that fit into a tight recess on the guitar.

I feel your pain.

But...don't you feel a little hesitant to cut cavities into the guitar body without having the pickups on-hand? I'd lose sleep doing that. :)

That's why I haven't cut them yet. Dimensions for the solid body type install are available, stew Mac had a template and so on. The ones with the dog ear covers......no luck. Pick ups are on order but they are being wound to spec so it will be a while and I Wanted to get this onto the spray booth with this next group but that ain't gonna happen at this point. Ooh well, most of this job is waiting on something anyhow.
