Hey everyone,

I'm looking at getting a custom Warmoth neck for my Partcaster build soon, and I have a few questions.

First of all, should I have them finish it for me? I'm debating on whether or not to just do a Tru-Oil finish, or get the satin finish for an extra 80 dollars. My dad says that if I'm spending that much on the neck, I might as well go "all-out" with the spending, so would it be worth the extra money to have them finish it?

Second question, I tried a Clapton Strat recently and loved the neck profile on it, but on the Clapton profile option on the Warmoth neck builder, it describes them as the "Early Clapton Strat". Does this new signature model have a drastically different style of neck?

Last thing, I've head that Warmoth necks can be really good or really bad, so would it be better for me to just buy a new MIM Strat neck?

Thanks for the help.

You cannot go wrong with Warmoth. I've done a ton of business with them since the late 70's when they were called "Boogie Bodies". They stand by their stuff - and are cool to work with.

Do the TruOil if you wanna save some bucks, or have them do it if you wanna splurge.

Call 'em up and ask about the Clapton stuff... they like to talk.
