An odd query and I was unsure where to put this question. I'm looking for a reputable supplier for European Maple in sizes for guitar necks and tops/backs, say on teles or what have you. Not looking to buy in commercial quantities. There seem to be some, but mostly are from overseas suppliers (makes sense) and am not sure which ones are better than others. I know the mandolin/acoustic people might have a better idea, but looking for blanks for electric. So, anyone know of any? I've found: Drewbas: http://www.drewbas-tonewood.com/ Tonewood.ch: http://www.tonewood.ch/ Tonewood.sk: https://www.tonewood.sk/ Ciresa Fiemme: http://www.ciresafiemme.it/ |

I'll second John Preston @ Old World Tonewood. He's knowledgeable and easy to work with. |

Cool, that's what I'm looking for. Like I said lots of places out there but not too many reviews or anything. Plus I've asked around some violin/cello/viola crowds but they all seem very cagey about their sources. Really appreciate the lead. |

I buy wood from koeble tone woods in Austria, I didn't see electric blanks last time I was there, but I saw violin and cello blocks. |
