John, I really love your axe! You did an incredible amount of detail work. Thanks for sharing your magnet and pickup ring construction details. The wood choices are very nice. The bridge looks nice and beefy, I may try one. I'm sure the grunge player will appreciate the imsanley hot pickups. What size frets did you go with? Again, really nice work! Dan |

I appreciate the kind words, it took much longer than I'd planned on and I was nervous towards the end that it was getting too busy, but I'm happy with how it finally turned out. More importantly, my friend loves it! First time doing a bound fingerboard which was a bit of a challenge. I used Jumbo frets on this one... |

Thanks folks! I'm looking forward to getting this one to my buddy and moving on to the next few. I'm going to be simplifying a bit on my next ones, making some SG's with oil finishes on most. Hopefully they'll be a bit lower stress for me while still helping me move forward developing my skills. It's nice getting such positive feedback from accomplished builders, and I really appreciate it! |

I'm glad that I've started to frequent this forum more often, especially when I see builds like yours, John. You've got some really nice details on this guitar, and the LP double cut is my favourite electric style! Alex |

nice one. Interesting use of magnets too. I wonder if the magnets will interfere with the pickups. Probably not. |
