I bought some China Nashville TOM bridges and some 3x3 tuners.
The outer string spacing on the saddles was only 2.0" Unfortunately, I already inserted the bushings into the body.
I filed down the tops of the saddles and put in new string notches spaced at 2-1/16". It works but looks stupid.
The tuners feel rough, like they are not lubricated. One knob is larger than the others.

I'm sticking with Schaller, Gotoh, Grover, and Wilkinson hardware.

If I spend 50+ hours on a guitar it makes no sense to put crappy hardware on it.
I learned a painful lesson.
Just thought I'd pass this on.

Right on, Chris!
I have not smoked in two weeks and that hardware made me extra angry!

Thats one of the reasons I fear buying things online. If it has moving parts I wanna give em a twist before I pay the bill. I'm terrified of some of the pickups I've seen out there too. This isn't really a hobby where you can cut corners.

If I could build one anywhere close to 50 hours, I might consider cheap hardware.

I picked up an old stock kramer floyd rose tremolo (not a knock off) for $20 from China. Granted it wasn't one of the high end pro models, but good enough to start with. As with many things, expectations come with a price.
