While working on a volunteer project to stabilize an old barn on some property owned by a local conservation group I found a 2 by 16 inch timber in the scrap pile. Here is the barn ![]() and here is the resident great horned owl that nests in it (hard to see, just below the bright spot) ![]() The wood is ponderosa pine, I'd like to think it is a hundred years old. Since there wasn't anything suitable for a neck I cheated and bought a pre made one, but thought I would dedicate it to Mrs. Owl ![]() ![]() Finish is nitro after a false start with TruOil. Just your basic reclaimed wood telecaster. |
