Greetings and Salutations. I am an amateur builder (can't call myself a luthier, yet) from Lancaster, Pa.
Currently, I am building a fretless 4-string. It is a maple/cherry neckthrough with a persimmon fretboard. I am planning on using Tung oil as a finish, but my question is, what should I finish the persimmon with?

Cheers and thanks for allowing me to join.

Nothing. It's basically the American ebony.

Hi Charles, looks like we're neighbors. I'm Up by Hershey. Interesting looking piece, I like it.

Thanks much. I'll sand it down to 0000 steel wool to get a nice sheen.
