Hi Only saw this post a while ago. On the humbucker you don't need to connect the coils via lower switch 2 (3 4) and C. Just join them and connect the joined pair to position 2 on switch. Use the switch to choose one coil or both. 3 and 4 on switch 2 for full humbucker, pin 2 for one coil. Add a wire to position 3 to your N I always where possible connect the C or rotary centre to the output. The only time you need to switch the 2 coils of humbucker, is when you want to change phase, I use a pull switch on volume when this is needed. Make sure the pot cases are connected to each other and ground. Hope this helps |

Not sure the tone pot will work. Seems like it needs a ground connection? |

Tone pot is missing an earth on my diagram. Well spotted.. Mechanix has it correct, provided the case of the pot is earthed. |

FWIW- http://www.dimarzio.com/sites/default/files/diagrams/1h1s1v1t_ep1112.pdf Takes a different switch but you get a better selection. And there is a difference between coil-tap and splitting. Hope this helps. |
