Starting a Danelectro style guitar for my daughter's boyfriend. He provided a sketch. I talked him out of the Bigsby and will make an Ebony rather than Rosewood board. I intend to dye the Maple blue, and spray a Daphne blue burst along the edges. I'll experiment with Mixol tints, never done an opaque color before. I usually only use two different woods. This one will be Mahogany, Maple, and Walnut. I'll hollow out the body and do some F holes in the top. He's 18, a good player, but he cannot draw worth a hoot. Dan |

Got the neck joint cut. This will have three Strat pickups. I plan to use a DP6T rotary switch which will give all pickup combinations except all on at the same time. I could add a toggle switch to enable this, but I think 6 choices is enough. I had to inlay a fretboad patch to cover a mis-drilled marker dot. It should look OK afer I radius the board. Dan |

'Bout ready for paint. Still trying to fill the Mahogany grain. The top is red dye over brown. I really like the Asian Ebony board. Has a greenish tint to it. Party on Garth. |

Thanks Alex! I have a gifted nephew that hopes to have a musical career. I rekon he could use it. Happy Canada and 4th of July days! Only about 20 hours to go on this brisket. Still waiting for the Mesquite to smoke. Dan |
