I'm finalizing a two pickup guitar in the style of a 330/Casino but I hate the look of four large knobs on the face of the guitar. I am thinking about putting two schatten design double pot tumbwheel in the "F" hole. That only leaves the three position switch. Is there a three position switch (or better yet a blend pot) that is equally discrete? Something that might be accessible through the "F" hole?

NB: My F holes are large and it is easy to work a thumbwheel mounted in them:

With two seperate volumes you really don't need a switch.

Interesting suggestion. I have never seen a guitar without a pickup selecto switch, and it makes me nervous going too far afield. Seymour Duncan’s extensive wiring diagram database doesn’t even show that as an option. But technically that does work.

I’ll have to weigh that against the traditional forest of knobs that I dislike. I guess no one makes a thumbwheel rotary switch or blend pot?

I like Brian's suggestion. Even if its just psychological, it seems to me that the less stuff there is in a circuit the better. The only problem I see with it is you end up without a quick way between pickups. Having said that, one of my favorite things about guitars is figuring out how to work within the particular limitations of a design.

Gotta wire it like a Bass. This diagram and you can eliminate the tone pot if you like.https://guitarelectronics.com/jazz-bass-style-wiring-diagram/#gallery
