Finished this a month ago, and I really like it. Can somebody tell me how to post pics? Alan |

I've been forced to using IMGUR as a hosting site, and then posting the link here.... |

Thanks Chris. Couldn't create an account, my phone password doesn't work anymore, (not related to this) and I'm ready to take a hammer to all my devices! I used to post pics here all the time with no problem. Anyway, fir body, flame maple neck, emg active pup. Not a fan of active, but this one sounds great. |

Alan, you can post pictures directly from your computer by going to the full editor and clicking the Choose File, then Add the file buttons. The file can only be so big - 250 KB I think - I resize big pictures from my camera by opening them in MS Paint and resizing the them. Pictures from my camera are typically around 3M, if I resize them to 25 percent of the original and save it is usually small enough to be loaded into the editor. Its a bit of a hassle and one reason I don't insert as many pictures as I once did, but it is sure a lot better than the hassle that photobucket had become. I'd love to see the lap steel. |

Thanks folks. I remember doing something like that, Freeman. I'll give it a whirl! Alan |

Cool guitar, I want to see (and learn) more. It looks like your image is too small, as I said I try to size to about 250 K. Now that you have wetted my interest you are going to have to do a bigger closer image and explain all about it. I was expecting an eight string slab type lap steel (which I've been thinking about building) but that is entirely different. This is a test - this picture was originally 1.8 MB from my camera (right click, look at properties). I tried to choose and add the file in the advanced editor - it gave me an error message that the file was too big and had to be less than 256 KB. I opened it in Paint (the old original MS, not the 3D version), resized it by typing 25 in one of the size boxes that said 100 and saved it. The file size now is 135 KB. Entered it in the Choose File box, clicked Add the file and it downloaded fine. Put the cursor back in the editor and then clicked Place inline and, bingo, bobs your uncle, it has put the image name in attachment brackets. Attachment: IMG_0559.JPG It is a hassle but it does work and for what it's worth, many other forums seem to require the smaller images (256K or less) so I guess its worth the effort. Now, back to yours, tell us about it - strings, tuning, pickup..... |

Cool Weissy Freeman! I've built 5 of those. Also waiting for a sycamore/spruce square neck acoustic to dry. Playing with pic size, I'll get it. Here's the neck joint on the 8 string slab in this thread. |
