Post subject:  An introduction to Roger Siminoff

As promised, Roger has agreed to participate from time to time. He has asked me to watch for posts where his input would have some value and I have agreed to do that. Once the topic arises I will let Roger know and he will pop in if he thinks he can add to the topic. But to start with I thought that I would start this thread and have Roger stop in and just say 'Hi"! I will let him know and he will be around shortly. I KNOW he will receive a warm welcome!

Thanks all

Shane

I'm far away from any archtops, but wanted to offer a welcome to Roger.

Roger, it was your book and particularly your explanation of your experiment to see how a guitar bridge actually moves, that led me to the pivot brace in a pivoting radial bracing scheme.

Thank you!

Dennis

I just wanted to say that Roger will be over in the next few days for sure. They are conducting one of their "Mandolin Camps" next week so he is busy setting that up. Another thing everyone might want to do is subscribe to his periodic newsletter (check his website). You get some info on sale items but he also adds a "musing" section where you get some interesting information.

All...
Thanks for your warm welcome (and Shane, thanks for the nice intro!). Sorry for my delay in getting on the site - my time is tight but I'll do the best I can to support the topics here. I'll keep checking in and will gladly respond when and were I think I can add some value.
Best to all...
Roger

Welcome, Roger...we're fortunate in having you on board. I'm looking forward to your generous presence to raise the body-of-knowledge in our young (and hopefully growing) Mandolin Forum. Thanks in advance for your future help.
