WudWerkr Rock on! Is that oak out of an old corn crib? I don't know how you have time to work on those with that tenor banjo setting around. dng dng dng dgn dng dng ding ding diiing. I have some bearclaw sitka, in billet form, if your interested in topping that mahogany axe. I already have your address, AND, I would then be totally obliged to stop by for a test drive in July on my way to Nashville... hmm... edit: almost forgot... the blank space below is what is finally happening in my shop... some of you actually bought some of my stuff in the swap meet and opened up a clean spot! Thanks. |

Actually no I got it from a friend as a cutoff he couldnt use for oak cabinets . I had not ever seen oak that looked like that before so I thought it would make a nice "antique " look. As for the bearclaw I need 2 pcs 3/16"x 6" x 18" if your offering to give some away |

James, looking good... did you pick a top for that battle axe yet? I've got an A style mando going. Attachment: Dsc00567.jpg Here's my fretboard taper jig in use. The first cut is determining the width of the fretboard. Attachment: Dsc00583.jpg Here it is cutting the first taper. Attachment: Dsc00585.jpg Here they are... 2 African blackwood bound fretboards.
