Post subject:  top thicknes

hi,

I start to build my first mando, so any advice for top thicknes I should start will be great.
Mando is flat top (maybe it will be domed, still don't decide) and teardrop style, scale 361mm.
Pic show my current progress

best

Thus far all mine have a 1/4" radius on the bracefrom front to back and 3/16" from side to side , the tops have been approx 1/8" to 3/16" thick and wetted and bent to the curve on the bracing.

3mm will be fine for a top thickness on a flat-top. It will be better to arch it a little with the bracing, and around a 2-3mm rise at the centre will work well

cheers
