Hi people, I can't find on this forum on search plan for soprano ukulele but with more than 12 frets, I tested one in the store and it had 17 frets. Do anybody have to share this plan with more frets. Thanks anyway, cheers |

Your scale length is fixed, check the fret calculator on the stewmac website. Click on Stewart-Macdonald at the top of this page. I expect that for a soprano ukulele, the fret will get too close together to be playable. Bob |

Concert it's a bit bit bigger, but it's also very very small i try it also. OK if someone have concert model thats ok to, but not bigger than that, but priority it's soprano with more than 12 frets. If someone have plan please share here. |

You don't need different plans for more frets. Just extend the fingerboard to the sound hole and add more frets. You can measure the frets from the Stewmac Calculator.... http://www.stewmac.com/freeinfo/Frettin ... tcalc.html Or use the Wfret program to print out a template.... http://www.cigarboxnation.com/profiles/ ... e-easy-way |

There is actually 3 braces on the top of the traditional design, including the plans you're looking at (the bridge plate acts as a fairly significant brace in a body that small). Some builders forgo the bridge patch on a soprano. |

Spruce tops will generally sound different. True of basically any size acoustic. Plenty of spruce topped sopranos out there though. |
