I'm looking to have a custom soprano or concert uke commissioned. The only must-have options would be a soundport and arm bevel. PM me if you might be interested in being my builder. Thx... Ken Eckerty |

Ken, Aaron Keim of Mya Moe and Beansprout instruments makes wonderful ukuleles. Several friends own his work, and he specializes in ukes. https://www.thebeansprout.com |

Is there a particular reason you need an arm rest on such a small instrument? To build a good uke, the builder needs to squeeze everything they can out of the soundboard, and using up what little realestate there is on a soprano or concert.....well I would suspect all pro builders would try there best to talk you out of that, or down right refuse. Sound port isn't really an issue though. |

Allen is right on this. I even use thin, solid linings rather than kerfed to maximize the surface area that can be put to work. + on Aaron also. David onoukes.com |

I often do arm bevels on tenors. I haven't done one on a concert but would not be against doing so. On a soprano no. I keep my bevels modest. |
