The carved back, sides, and neck are ebonized sapele with a carved Sitka top from Alaska Specialty Woods. The top is a hand rubbed burst using everclear and dyes from StewMac. The finish is 3 passes using Ecopoxy. Now to figure out how to play it, M |

Looks great - how about a picture of the back? Did the Ecopoxy dissolve the dyes at all? Did you put anything on first as a sealer? Did you find Ecopoxy in any quantities short of the 50 gallon drum sizes that are offered on Amazon? Thanks, Ed |

Yes, I sealed the purflings with CA and a q-tip. I had to come back with a sanding stick to clean up the purflings after the first pass with the Ecopoxy. West Wind Hardwood in Sidney, BC is where I bought my 1L build kit. |
