| Post subject: | Mandolin building help |
I am building an A style mandolin and the piece of wood I had envisioned using turned out to be too small. Instead I will use mahogany for the back and sides. Is that a good idea? How will it effect the sound? What about a top wood. Spruce is not readily available to me. This is the first mandolin I will have built. |
