Hello folks,
I am building my first acoustic guitar and documenting the journey on my Youtube channel. Here is the introductory video and a link to the playlist. I have been at it for about a year, and it will most likely be 6 more months to completion. I post new videos to this playlist at an infrequent basis when I have the time to build and document it.
Some of the vids are long, so don't expect you to sit still through all of them, but if you're interested, you're welcome to watch and comment.
There have been and will be mistakes along the way.

Love you workshop! [:Y:]

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.
