Ravens have been on a roll, although coming very close to losing in Denver. Cant stand Jim H so Ill be rooting for the Ravens. |

This will make everyone laugh, or at least wonder where I went astray. I'm so disinterested in football that I didn't even know who was playing. Then I heard "Baltimore Ravens". Baltimore Ravens? I did a google search and found out to my own amazement that they've been a franchise for something like 15 years. Really? I'd never heard of them! I read on. Discovered they were formerly the Cleveland Browns. Omigosh...what happened to the Cleveland Browns?!!! Another google search. Found a reconstituted Browns team. That was one of the very few teams I knew about when I was in high school many moons ago. The long and the short of it: Twenty or more years ago, if weather permitted, my good dog and I would go quail hunting, or duck hunting, or just hiking, on any Sunday afternoon. I was not then, nor am I now, a couch potato. My dog is long gone (God bless her loving animal soul). Nowadays on a Sunday, I'm either in my studio making a painting (as I was today) or in my shop working on an instrument (as I was before working on the painting), or sometimes I'm still out in the field hiking around and wishing my dog was still with me. Sorry, Wud. I just thought someone ought to chime in with the other side of the story here. To all interested parties: Hope your team wins! I might find out about it in a few days.... Patrick |

From my plant management days, I know a lot of industrial lighting has a mandatory cool down period. Even if it just flickers, it has to cool & "cycle" properly before it can be relit. Heard there was a "surge" ... no idea how brief. (...need more power bars!!! )
