Really enjoyed watching the Saints put it on the Falcons last night, but the playground antics by the NFL players is tiring to say the least.I guess they bring it from college where the pampered stars are given a lot of leeway.I remember the great Earl Campbell of the Houston Oilers saying"my dad told me when I cross the goal-line, to act like I've been there before."..Now everyone is looking for the camera-posing,preening, and strutting like they did something all by themselves-his blockers are seldom in the camera shot. These showdogs are usually the first ones to throw a temper tantrum when things go wrong.Like the spoiled brats they are. I will continue to watch, as I love football, just don't enjoy it as much as when they acted like grown-ups. I guess I'm rambling, I've heard old men do that...... |

Dear, here is also a soccer fan, expressing solidarity with you. Sometimes we get angry, frustrated and loose hope also. But things changes with time and there is always an other side of the coin. so keep patience and enjoy your game. appreciate for sharing your good thoughts. |

Yep Tom, same here. Except my enjoyment of it as a whole has tapered off more over the years. My father was a life long athlete and 30 yr career high school coach. If he was home and had the tv on he had sports on. My mother hated sports, couldn’t stand the crowd noise, drove her crazy. Around 1990 he retired . She was dreading 24 hour sports channels and him watching all day. Strange thing he never watched a sporting event after he retired. I asked him why one day and he said he was sick of the attitudes he saw in the game. |

The last time I watched an NFL game, Bradshaw was still playing for the Steelers. |

I'm from the land of the Detoilet Lions meaning that we locals have been adopting other teams for our mental health for decades. Better than having to wear brown bags on our heads at games that we lose... |
