I want to thank EVERYONE for their efforts in making this a great Challenge ... [clap] I hope everyone who didn't make the cut off will continue the threads and show us the finished guitar.

I have lead the group for 3-or 4 of these thus far , its time for someone else to take the lead . I hope someone will come up with a new approach for 2014 and push the envelope.

Thanks for the fun , and hard work ........ Im gonna focus on building and maybe be involved in one myself.... [:Y:]

Thanks, Wud, for putting this together! It was fun, and I am only sorry that I didn't complete mine yet. I will! And while it looks like I just lost steam on my project, it is only because it has been full bore ahead on getting my new workshop done.

Congrats to the winners, all the runner ups, and everyone else who threw their hats in the ring, even if they haven't quite finished yet...

Jim,

Thank you so much for hosting these. I think it should fall on the previous challenge winner to host the next challenge build. That being said, I will gladly volunteer to host (coordinate) the next challenge if the group is in agreement. I have a good idea for the 2014 challenge build, but let's all rest a bit!

Hey all,
just a shout-out to some folks for putting on the 2013 New Builder Challenge. Thanks to Wudworker for making it happen, OLF for hosting, all of you for your splendid entries and participation and, of course, StewMac for the generous prize that you see here. I just got it in the mail this week and I can hardly wait to use it in about a month or two when I buff out #4 and #5. It didn't quite fit in my stocking ;)

Merry Christmas!
