Alvarez 5014 Acoustic that needs bridge reset . I believe at least ( 1 ) Brace has popped loose . I think its early 70's Ser # is 22223 . Should be a good sounding guitar when minor repairs are done. That it was one of the better sounding guitars for the money in its day . even with the bridge pulled up it sounds good now . I am anxious to see how she sounds completely repaired . |

you didn't say whether this is a customer's axe or your own. either way, since the bridge has to come off, and if you cn sell the customer, my preference would be to fit a new bridge to get rid of the execrable adjustable saddle. or fill the slot and fit conventional saddle. alternatively just simply can the metal monstrousity and fit an oversized saddle. either way the tone and volume will inprove dramaticly. |

since it is yours and price resistance from a client is not an issue, at the least fill the slot and route a 1/8" slot and fit a new bone saddle. better yet, make a new bridge and do the same. |
