Our colleague Gerry Hayes, from Haze Guitars in Ireland, has just published a very nicely crafted and written book on guitar wiring. Mainly for electrics, for sure, but there's a great chapter on acoustic pickups in there. There are also libraries of switch templates and of very nicely-done components and parts you can use for your own schematics drawings.
I just got the whole package described in his web page, and it's really awesome. Gerry deserves praise for this work. Available in downloadable as well as printed form from Amazon.
This will be of tremendous help to many, if not all of us.
No connection with Gerry, apart from knowing him as a very talented and helpful fellow who has been freely giving much to the community, so he deserves some support. I have bought both versions this morning and the physical book will earn a much-deserved place on my "technical" bookshelf.
Dan the Man and Dirk Wacker commented with much praise on this new standard, and Dan himself wrote the foreword! So you know there's something going on there.
