Post subject:  Weirdest thing you found in a guitar (or case)?
Inspired by a recent thread on the Seymour Duncan Forum...

I found a mouse skeleton in an old Harmony Broadway, mixed in with a bunch of dust bunnies and a couple guitar picks. This was back in the 80's sometime.

:D Great idea for a cool thread Chris.

I found an unused condom still in the package which just goes to show you that when some of us learned to play guitar to get the babes.... it didn't work....

I've found rattle snake rattles which is a tradition with some folks. Some mouse poop and fingernails that may be what happened to the one you lost while clipping them.

But the grossest thing I've ever found not inside but under the saddle was a large, cut toenail with green fuzzy stuff growing on it....... :? :o [xx(] :D The toenail was under the saddle so it was intentionally being used as a shim.

My grandkids, age 6 and 3, came to stay for a few days around Christmas time. Near the front door we have a bowl full of coins where we used to throw our loose change - back in the day when one used actual money to pay for things. The kids raided the bowl to play “shop” and other things. After they returned home to Melbourne and our house became peaceful again I took one of my guitars down from the stand and found that it was very heavy and made a God-awful clanking noise. Three year old grandson had inserted about 40 coins inside, through the soundhole, one by one. He must have liked the sound that they made. I don’t know how long it took him to get them all in there, but it certainly took quite a while for me to get them all out again.

We commonly find rattle snake rattles in the sound holes of acoustic guitars. It's a thing in the south west of the US and more common than you think.

The rattles are dropped in there after they have been removed from the dead snake of course.....

I once found a $100 bill and left it out for the owner. They had been someone who played out and did not know that someone must have tipped them when they were not looking and dropped it in their guitar.
