Gibson L48 repair

Post subject:  Gibson L48 repair

A friend dropped off a Gibson L48 He believes its a 1947.
There is a crack in the back and it is starting separate from the side where the crack is, the braces seem to be okay. The action at the 12th fret is around .130. Ive done repairs like this before but never on a guitar this old. I figure its hide glue.
Any advise is welcome.

Yes, probably hide glue. Go slow, I know you do good work.

The ‘49 J45 I restored was all hide glue.
