I'm in.

I've built numerous cigar box instruments, but am definitely an amateur with less than 3 full-scale builds.

I'm in! Planning on building a Gibson L0, redwood top, Clark walnut sides, undecided on the neck. Previously I've built an electric, this will be my first acoustic. Wish me luck, going to need it...

OK, if it's not too late, I will try to finish the parlour I've been working on. I started just after the challenge was issues, and have been hesitant about committing, but I think I'll get her done for the deadline.

Hope you are all OK with this, if not, that's cool.....

Here's where I am now. Parlour off the Antes plans, with a few changes from me, but nothing major. Mostly, I reduced the bracing and, clearly, changed tha trims...

Top: WRC from the local timber yard.
B/S/Neck, Headstock veneers: Austral;ian Blackwood(endemic to the whole country, tho this is from Tasmania.
Bindings and purflings are plastic, and from somewhere.... idunno
Tuners: Rubner
Fretboard and bridge: EIR
No electrics.

This is intended to be my travel guitar. We are planning to move to the UK for a year or two next January, and I'll take this little'un with me....maybe....

Just set the neck today, and need to do lots more work, but I think it'll fly...

A few firsts for me on this one. First bolt on neck, first slotted peg head, first extensive use on plastics....

Whoops, this is meant to be in the 3+ build category....Will start thread to conclusion...

I'm afraid I won't be entering after all. Because life is... insert four letter word.

Hello All,

I am entering my local wood build that I just coincidentally finished. It is a classical guitar which is what I am specializing in. This guitar was built using locally grown and harvested Curley Maple for the back and sides. The center stripes are a lamination of Walnut and Red Oak. This guitar is trimmed in Rosewood and has a cedar top. All the bracing is Mahogany and Cedar. I used a hybrid fan style bracing system on the top and a fluted bracing style on the back. The fingerboard has Abalone inlayed Maple leafs in a falling pattern to represent the wood used and follow the same theme. This instrument also features an arm saddle and side sound port.
