My names Doug Fir, I live just outside of Colorado Springs in Colorado. I live right next to a ranger station which is cool. Some people call me blue but not many.

I really HATE woodpeckers! Nasty Bas**rds! I don't really have internet access but I look in the window of the ranger station and can only post when somebody leaves the computer on. It's difficult anyway. In the winter the windows normally closed, so I post in the summer!

I was born in 1910, Yup! William Taft was president! I don't really do much, just sway in the breeze, but I really enjoy that a lot! Do any of you sway much?

How about those Broncos? Football starts in a week doesn't it?Doug Fir38933.2386111111

Wow, Sam I have to apologize, I thought you were a guy!
I'm pleasantly surprised that we have another lady around here.
You and Jeanne are helping to make this place a more well-rounded forum!
I think we've only had maybe a half dozen women here through the years, and it is about time we had some balance here!

George, may I adopt your philosophy? That's funny. But it may well be true of any of us. Yesterday evening about nine pm, I decided it was time to get the bubinga dust off of me since it was beginning to burn in like cocobolo. Just when you think you've found a safe wood, you realize you haven't.

Just starting with first acoustic. Built an electric last year. I dont play worth beans so i dont know how i'm going to be able to tell about 'voicing', 'tone', etc.    Actually with my first one, i'm using scraps and really dont care how it sounds. I just want to go through the construction and see how it all comes together.

By day, a Special Effects designer for the Hayden Planetarium at the Museum of Science, Boston. And builder of Stringed instruments just about the rest of the time.
Happily married 17 years to Jeanie Boyadjian(the best jeweler in Boston) and co-care giver to a bouncing 80something year old Mom-in-law.
Other hobbies are gardening, hiking, traveling and cleaning up my shop..
Looking forward to the day there is time to do everything I’d like.
Meantime, not a bad world we have here.
If I won the lottery, I’d try to make it better. Really.

All the Best!

Wade
