At the Detroit show next weekend, Laguna will have a new version of their
LT20, called the LT20 Bowl Turner. This is a Bulgarian machine, like their
smaller saws, but is really beefed up and souped up. It has:

New Drift Master fence. This is the coolest fence I have ever seen. It has
micro adjust, drift adjust, and the versatile high and low extrusion.
Plus:
Steel extension table.
Mobility Kit
Resaw King 1 1/4"
New geared quick-tilt table
Motor: 6.0 HP Baldor
Resaw: 20”
Max blade: 1 ?”
Throat: 19”
Table size: 29” x 21” ?
Blade length: 175”
Table height: 38”
Rack / pinion: Standard
Foot brake: Standard
Height: 84”

I understand this new beast is nearly 800 lbs! Apparently, they showed
this machine at the Atlanta show and it was a big hit.

I can pick it up at the show for $2,650. What do you guys/gals think? It's
bigger than I was thinking... but... you never know when you may need
that 13 liter SUV to pull a ship out of the harbor!

I really love me new LT16-HD. They're fantastic. If I could have afforded a 20", or for that matter, if I had a place to put one, I would have loved one. But the 16 does everything I could want it to do. $2650....great price...does that include shipping?

Cameron...sounds like a very nice saw. I am partial to Minimax since I own a MM16 but I know that Laguna makes very nices saws too (I almost purchased a Laguna HD16). If you can afford the saw then I am sure you will be very happy with it. I know when I was deciding there were many that recommended by the best saw you could afford.

Thanks Don and Brad. I'm waiting for MM to give me a price on the MM16. I
really want to buy a machine that is made where they buy our cars.

Don, the $2,650 is with me picking it up at the trade show.

I had called Laguna asking about the LT16HD, but the trade show unit was
already sold. That's when they brought up this new machine. Yes, it is really
big, but a new LT16HD, lift-gate delivered, is $2,595. So, Italian 16"
machine or the Bulgarian (not as fine of fit and finish but still very high
quality) 20" machine with all of the very cool accessories... And that
DriftMaster fence is incredible. Or the MM16 if they ever get back with me...

Cameron...one of the reasons I went with Minimax is because of the customer service. If it helps at all I was working in Eric at Minimax. If you are having trouble getting an answer he may be able to help. One reason I liked working with him was because he didn't try pushing anything on me.
