The first image is one half of a top I am currently working on. the second is a 3d model with the material sampled from that photo. the rest are image I did for Lance using canned materials to give a visualization. When possible it is best to work with good photos of the actual material to be used, wetted wood make the best image.
As you can see I have routed the model for purfling and rosette
