Love what you've done with the red purfling. Excellent choice. It brings out the wood beautifully! Stunning Guitar

Thanks again folks. Like Grit Laskin says .. the next one will be better !!!

Couple things .. the purf is actually orange, but close to red, got it at the local hardwood place. Its cheap too. I have another on the go from the same tree, and its getting orange or red as well .. it just GOES with this stuff so well.

Pickup is a K&K Trinity ... awesome.

Yeah me too James .. I wanna get some Mad rw that looks like this ..

How and why do you determine what scale lengths to use?

Beautiful materials equisitely wrought. And that just may be the most beautiful peg head I've ever seen.

Hi all,

No headstock logo - well, like an Alberico or Laskin, never a headstock logo, but we decided to leave the wood to speak onits own, and put the logo on the heel cap.

Contoured cutaway .. nah ... you cant really get them dead flush if you finish the neck/body separately anyway, done that before.

Scales .. well, the client plays lots of dropped tunings, down to C .. so hence longer on the bass, 26.5. Then not to have too much slant, 25.5 on the treble, also keeps the tension reasonable in std tuning, no that this one will see that very much. Basically, on an acoustic, a one inch difference tends to work out well, not too much fret slant, or bridge slant, if you keep the straight fret at 7 or 9. You need to think at the design stage about string gauge and tuning, then try to figure it out from there ... or if you are like me, just look at it crooked and then guess

Hey Alain .. safe drive home I take it ???

The soundport, at least the S shape portion, is a new design I had been thinking about. The client asked for something F hole like, and so I added the two holes to that shape, and it was a hit ....
