Well, that's what I did.
Matt Jacobs, or Mattyeod (did I spell that right, Matt?), was on his way to LINT central last Friday. On his way through town, he stopped by AND graciously brought me a quart of lacquer. I repaid him by putting him to work. In self defense, when someone of Matt's talents comes by, you just can't let him sit there and talk. Put those talents to use!
So, here's a shot of Matt adding some linings to a dulcimer project that will be in the upcoming LINT show.

Steve also made me wash his truck . Really, it was fun. I just changed my job and location, so I haven't been able to build for a couple of months. Even though it was a dulcimer, it was still a treat. And I'd like to thank Steve and his wife, for their hospitality.

Anyhow, here is a pic of Steve working on his tiger myrtle; it is just STUNNING.

Great to see two of my favorite folks! Btw Steve the neck on the guitar in the last photo is too short, narrow and has no headstock. Thought I would let you know before you spent more time on it

Todd, unfortunately "a quart of lacquer" is a quart of lacquer, we tried to drink it but it tastes like crap!

Evan, stop huffing lacquer. Hopefully I'll be up there in October, maybe.

Why do you think I'm holding that guitar so strategically? (I'm not working on it...I saw Matt grab his camera, so I grabbed the closest thing that would make me presentable on the OLF...)

Evan, you should come down and help me chase out all the little finishing glitches. You know how humbling this whole experience is when you start going over the entire instrument w/ a critical eye.
