Here's my stuff up for sale. Paypal accepted. Buyer pays actual shipping cost via UPS or USPS. All boards' end grain will be dipped in wax probably before you read this, but definitely before shipment.

Update October 22, 6:30 PM EST price reductions:

I just got back from the bandsaw and sander with a few more items. First, a set of pretty well quartersawn Macassar ebony. Back is 4 piece, sides are 4" wide, suitable for a classical. This was from one board so the colors all match rather nicely. $150. Price reduced to $120:

From the same board... I decided to not cut up this versatile piece of Macassar ebony since it might best be used in a lot of ways. It is pretty well quartersawn. It is 4x31.5x15/32 inches, suitable for lots of bridge blanks, fingerboard blanks (even for a 6-string bass), bindings, headplates, even another set of classical sides if need be. $35

More Macassar ebony... here are 6 bass fingerboard blanks in various thicknesses. All are 2 7/8 x 27.5. A and B are 1/4" thick and $22 each, C and D are 7/32" thick and $20 each, E and F are thin but usable if you have a steady hand (or slotting jig) at 3/16" thick and $15 each. If you're not building a bass perhaps you can get a couple of headplates as well as a fingerboard. Price reduced: all 6 boards for $60

Over the past several years I've set aside some various rosewood offcuts that I thought had some visual interest. Here are a few fingerboard sized examples that for some reason today I decided to introduce to high-velocity steel and sandpaper. Each encounter had unique consequences, perhaps to your benefit.

Each picture is of one side of the board. The lighter side is what they look like freshly resawn, while the darker side is what they looked like freshly surface sanded about an hour ago (and what they should eventually look like on an instrument) after sitting around for a couple of years. Note: all boards are various thicknesses so please be mindful of that before ordering:

Letter\Size(inches)\Species\Price:

G\3 1/8x15/32x23.5\Cocobolo\20
H\3 1/8x7/32x23.5\Cocobolo\12
I\2 7/8x3/16x22 1/2\Bocote?\10
J\2 7/8x1/4x22 1/2\Bocote?\10
K\3x1/4x21/honduran RW\9
L\3x1/4x24.5/honduran RW\11
Price reduced, all 6 boards for $40

Some binding. I have curly maple, cherry, padauk, and bloodwood. $3 for maple, $2 everything else:

Next up, bridge and fingerboard blanks. From the top left, four standard 2 x 8 x 1/2 inch thick ebony blanks for 15$, four 2 1/2 x 9 1/2 x 3/8 ebony blanks for $15, five 1 7/8 x 8 x 9/16 madagascar rosewood bridge blanks for $15. The two fingerboard blanks are madagascar rosewood, one is 21" and the other is 28". Buy both for $15. Price reduced, the two mad rose fingerboards and all ebony and mad rose bridge blanks for $35 (note that does not include the mac ebony blanks, those are not for sale).

Some nice cocbolo billets suitable for backs. $60 each. They are 1 1/8" x 24"x 7 7/8":

A cocobolo billet suitable for sides, fingerboards, bridges. $80. It is 5 1/8"x1 3/16"x51":

A couple of 9 1/4 x 21 1/2 curly redwood tops. $70 each.
Price reduced to $45 each or both tops for $80

A couple of un-curly redwood tops, each 24 x 7 7/8 inches. $45 each. Price reduced to $30 each, $50 for the two sets:

I have two pretty much identical curly maple sets with matching headplates. $70 each. Price reduced to $45 each set, both sets for $80

A 9x20x3/8 spalted and quilted maple drop top. $60:

A set of gotoh contour mini tuners. Chrome with black buttons. $60.

Finally, a really nice but orphan walnut back set. Vertical grain with lots of color and curl. It is quite wide at 11.5"x22"x1/8" so there will be lots of material left over for headplates, wedges, etc. $75:

If you have any questions, want to see a better picture, etc, just ask.

Thanks guys, cocobolo billets are sold, two to Arnt and one to Marc, who also gets the Q&S maple and walnut. I reduced the price of the maple drop top at the last minute to $60 so that's a little cheaper for you Marc. I will PM with paypal, other info. I plan to ship everything on Thursday if that's OK with you.

Oh, and I have just returned from the bandsaw and sander with some nice rosewoods and mac ebony. I will post the results very soon.

I'll take the 4x 31 macassar board. Would you like to trade for a sinker redwood top? Or I'll just pay $.

Ken a sinker redwood top for that board sounds like an ideal trade to me. I'll mark that board as sold.

I'm coming into this a bit late. But if you still have the un-curly redwood tops available, I'll take them as well as the Chrome tuners if they are still available. Thanks, Paul

Paul, they are all yours.

I have marked and shrunk all the pictures of my sold items to make what's still available more obvious.

Hi Lex,

I would like the following:

bridge and fingerboard blanks - Price reduced, the two mad rose fingerboards and all ebony and
mad rose bridge blanks for $35 (note that does not include the mac
ebony blanks, those are not for sale).

I am confused about the mac ebony blanks not being included and not for sale. Do you mean not ON sale, but I could buy them for an additional $15? If thats what you meant, then I would like them also. If they are not FOR sale, then I still want them, but I won't get them.

Thanks
Greg Heather

Lex,

Forget about my previous question...brain cloud. The three mac ebony blanks between the bridge blanks at the top of the pic and the fretboards at the bottom of the pic are not for sale. Doh.

I would like all of the rest.

Thanks,
Greg
