Well I waited 10 min and the page never fully painted. I can see a square where the video should be but it is way slow painting or something is going on to where I can't see it.

Probably just a sad lament of an Explorer user

Just not going to finish painting for me. Our company firewall blocks any video site so that may be where the issue lies for me. I was hopping that that would not be the case but looks like it is. That or an Explorer issue.

How do I embed a YouTube video link? (note that on the left side of the screen, in Options, everything is ON except Flash is OFF. In my preferences, I set Flash to ON, but that did not change it in here. Not sure if that matters or not with YouTube videos.)

I tried this:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=EjR06WvnYLo

and this:

And I tried this:
<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/EjR06WvnYLo&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/EjR06WvnYLo&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

and this:

In the reply box there is a little <youtube> link under the Bold and Italic symbols. Top Left. It gives a place to put your youtube link. I haven't tried it, but it looks like it should work.

Well done, Ken!

You're right, you must manually add the www. before youtube in the URL

Thanks!

Dennis

Waddy, you can have avatars up to 200px now, edit your proflie, I think 200 is too big though with about 140 seeming to fit the forum layout best.

Thanks, Colin. I saw the discussion in another thread. I need to find the picture and re-scan it to enlarge it. That little 64bit doesn't like enlarging. It is a picture some guy took of my hand while I was playing at the local Ren. Fest. I liked it.

I think I may have figured out why I can not see the youtube. in my display preference I have flash as on but looking apt the "options" in the lower left corner of a viewed pave the "flash" shows to be off

If folks are still having trouble seeing the videos, try updating your version of flash player. They up to version 9.49 or so. Sometimes previous versions don't always jive with what's being created out there.

Re-testing avatar and video (of my very first build). OLF exceeded their bandwidth the first time.
