I'm about to buy a new blade for cutting a tiger maple neck for a dobro. What size and style blade would you recommend? I don't want to get into a brand debate.

I cut neck blanks on the Delta 14 inch using an Olson 1/4" general purpose blade.

Besides necks, I also cut bone for nuts and saddles, aluminum for jigs, and pre-taper sides before bending and of course top and backs profiles before gluing braces.

The Olson GP is a great blade, I don't know how many teeth per inch, but it's likely 8 to 10 per inch. Can't beat it. Costs about 8 or 9 bucks in this length.

Others will chime in with their favorites, no doubt.

(type "bandsaw blades" in the search and you'll be reading 'til dark)

I'd use a 1/4" 4 teeth/inch blade.

Hey...good luck with that Dobro! [clap]

Please show off some progress pics in the Resonator section when you get a chance.

Your probably right but it just adds to my confusion. Keep the opinions coming, I've got a few days before the plans com in the mail. I ordered the blueprints from the Beard website.
Thanks Don, I will post some pictures but I work slow so the thread could last a while.
