O.K. so I'll assume your not "sick of it"...

Steve who ever said there was a minimum of fuss??

I assure you I have the same problems as everyone else, the extra time, going backwards... in fact this inlay had big problems with the lower bird due to heavily excessive chipping and cracking during slotting, and I had to pull half the head and neck back out completely, re-cut it all, and re-install it against the binding and fret slot!

I do have photos of the repair process. One day I'll post them. The cool thing is the repair was tighter then the first time due to a few changes in techniques that occurred along the way..

Thanks guys again for all the support. This site has always been like a home for me..
Hopefully my new site will be up and running before the Miami show, it seems like that can be a reality.

Craig, my current favorite author James Herriot wrote like you do inlay. It is said of him that he would write, rewrite and do it all again until it fllowed smoothly. The result is effortless reading, and one gets the impression that it simply "oozed" out of him with no work at all. Actually, it took a lot of work to make it look so easy. I can believe all the trouble you went to in the crafting of this inlay.

Ok, my ill-worded remark should have expressed this thought: that you seem to be able to convey a lot of information with a minimum of statement. Perhaps it's the gift of capturing something, and making the viewer see more than just the little pieces of pearl. I think good art should suggest as much (or more) than it reveals, and you're doing that.

Anyway, I like the inlay!
