Can almost hear the surfer tunes from here.
(I say almost only because it's not seafoam green.)
(Which is a good thing, Matt.)

Really nice, bud.

Steve

many thanks groovin brothers.

it`s my second try at the neck through body design. I sacrificed two acoustic sets to make up the Brain Sapele/ E.I. Rosewood top cap. ( Thanks JJ, I`m pretty sure you were the inspiration on that ) it has a mahogany body and mahog/maple lay up neck. I really dig the Gotoh 510 mini`s that i got for this one.

Wade, nope, its solid but i want to try a chamber next time, I almost hollowed it out.

thanks again heres some lousy back shots.... (disclaimer)
I got into to trouble when i drilled the string ferrull holes, my bit traveled on me so the alignment came out screwed up oops_sign

Looks great...

Hey...some of us like that seafoam green look! Just add Paua shell for dots and such, and you got a looker!

Oh well, to each his/her own...

yeah, I could`nt quite get myself to go seafoam on this one....next time maybe.

hey Don, long time bro....
No, I am not switching to electrics, but I sure am enjoying learning about them. I`m playing in a rock band again so I need an electric. My first one was ok, but this one will be my main axe.
I will most likely build a stage acoustic next, maybe a thin body cutaway OM or something along those lines. I`ve been playing my acoustic throught the P.A. mixer in my acoustic duo.

thanks for looking guys.
Matt

Hey Don, whoa bud, no offense intended!
I like a solid color--even that limp-wristed turquoise eek -- just not on worm-tracked Sapele...you know? You wouldn't want to cover that beauty up now, would you? I say,

Seafoam on Poplar!
Seafoam on Pine!
Seafoam on Ash,
If it's not awfully fine.

Seafoam on LP's,
And even on Tele's.
Just not on Matt Gage's
Pretty Sapele!

(I think that's how the poem went. It's been a long time, and my memory's kinda rusty.)

Cheers,

Steve

laughing6-hehe laughing6-hehe laughing6-hehe laughing6-hehe laughing6-hehe laughing6-hehe laughing6-hehe

That's funny...

I didn't mean seafoam green on the sapele...nay, that would be a crime against nature. I thought you simply didn't like seafoam green at all.
I have a friend with a seafoam green Strat with maple neck and paua dots...what a sweet looking axe it is.

Hmmmm.......A strat....and now I have a cnc....hmmmm....
;)
