Hi all,

I recently checked out the precision router bits web site. They have some bits intended for cnc guys to cut fret kerfs in ebony.

I'm toying with the idea of making a router jig to cut slots. Question: Will I lose the needed accuracy with a router and jig? Has anyone else done this?

Stefan

The issue I see isn't accuracy. It's breaking bits. With a cnc, you can control the speed and easily make multiple passes, lowering the bit each time. Much harder by hand. A hand saw would be much quicker and easier.
