A friend that is a professional player picked up a Mcintyre Acoustic Feather and we tried it in an OM he had as he was not happy with the undersaddle that was currently in it. Installation was a snap and I was really amazed at how good it sounded. He played it through my AER Compact 60 and also his Bose system using a Baggs PADI with everything essentially flat. It sounded every bit as good as a K&K PW mini to me. Needs a preamp like the PUTW stuff. I was impressed.
Anyone had more experience with these pickups? They sure are easy to put in.

I put one in a resonator guitar for a friend and running through a good preamp (I think he uses a Bagg's Gigpro beltclip model) it sounds fantastic. Very responsive and good acoustic sound. Not so much electrified as I thought it may sound. My experience was equally good with installation and satisfaction.

That's good to know Steve, I actually need to put one in a Resonator myself. Spider bridge. Pick up any tricks when you did yours?

Joel McIntyre, used to have a guitar repair shop here in Charlotte. As a matter of fact he was the authorized repair person for Martin in Charlotte. When he picked up Collings, he quit doing the Martin work. However, most of his business was installing pickups, and as he tried out a bunch of different ones, he figured he could make them better. Made the first ones in his shop here, then moved his operation back to, I think, somewhere around Hickory. He is from around there somewhere. Nice guy. He built a few guitars too. I know he built a classical for a local artist, and it looked great, and sounded nice, but didn't have much punch.

I've heard his pickups are pretty good.
