I call this guitar "The Beast" because it has three humbucking pickups--my first three-pickup guitar. Each pickup can be turned on and off, offering a variety of sound choices.

The top wood is maple. The back is made-up of ash on the outer sides, strips of amargo, and then two pieces of maple. The neck is maple with a rosewood fingerboard. There is a master volume control. The bridge is made by Wilkinson.

Thank you for your comments. I did take a few photos of the headstock, but they didn't turn out very well. I'll try to take another photo of it today.

I'm a little embarrassed about the headstock because I should have spaced the tuners farther apart. I didn't notice this until I drilled the holes.

The volume pot isn't push/pull. but that's a great idea. I have only recently learned how useful a tone control can be. Many of my guitars only have a volume control.

Edited to add a photo of the headstock. You can see how the tuners begin a little too high on the headstock. The strings do not foul one another, however. The headstock cap is cocobolo.

Nice! I like the design as well. Very clean execution, too. As for the headstock, I think it looks great. As far as the distance between tuners goes, as long as the strings do not hit the sides of the other tuners' posts(which they don't), spacing is up to the builder, IMHO. They don't look any more crowded than you might find on a six in line headstock(less, actually). Nothing to be embarrassed about, IMHO. Lovely work.

I agree with the other posts. i think the spacing of the tuners works very well - relative to the truss rod cover, I think the proportion gives it a very balanced feel, while not being totally conventional. Like.

Me, too. I like the slick, clean job you've done. If someone challenges you on the headstock design, tell them it's for accommodating behind the nut bends.

Thank you, Corky and Lincoln. If I remember correctly, I moved the tuners up to avoid the area I routed to access the truss rod adjustment. I have since stopped routing so far up the headstock.
