Very cool. Time to sharpen up my plane irons and give it a go. Needless to say, I won't be starting with my nice fingerboard blanks.

I always did it by hand with a file and sandpaper.
Used a couple radius gages made from cardboard, and checked my work often.
When you fretted it and checked the level - you could "adjust", and make it all sweetness and light.
