It's a crying shame, ain't it?
Water putty is just as bad.

I once wrote to the Bondo company asking why they didn't make a natural colored product similar in color to a wood putty for use in wood repairs like in moldings and architectural woodwork since it can be molded into odd shapes easier then typical wood putties. The pink and gray stuff cant really be tinted to to other colors to well. They wrote me and said they didn't see any demand for it. A year later they came out bondo wood filler and all purpose putty and I didn't receive a dime for the idea....mike

Hello Mr The Padma.

Can you tell I am attempting to get on your good side early?

What brand is the semi hollow body, and would, could you part with it, if not forever, long enough for a person to pull molds from it?

I have been looking for one that needs work that I can get mmmm......cheep!

Mike

Already done that as well as all the local shops. I am about to get my cnc machine running again and I guess my best option will be to machine molds and not have to go through the molding process.

Hey thanks for the reply! BTW you didn't say what kind of guitar that is......mind sharing?

Mike

The top one is a Guild.

The bottom one be a Vox Tornado, a single p/u (single coil) probably made by EKO for Vox in the '60s.

You left out a picture of a Gibson Sonex guitar. It was a Seventies factory abomination with a small wooden core totally surrounded by bondo. We sawed one up once in a repair shop to see exactly what was in there.
