So #3 is finished and is an OM modification inspired by something that Simon Fay as well as Matsuda does with design. Hormigo b/s, HMT Lutz top, Khaya neck, Wenge binding and rosette, faux-bound fretboard, Evo gold frets, Gotoh 510 tuners. I was going with something of a minimalist aesthetic: black buffalo horn nut and saddle, no fretboard dots (there are dots on the side), plain ebony bridge pins, monochrome colour scheme on top with simple rosette.

Awesome job. Super nice binding work. Love the wood selection too. [:Y:]

Very clean! The black bone was a great idea, keeps it sober, I like it [clap]

Thanks Fred, I'm finishing up a bouzouki that I built concurrent with this one. Just put the tuners in. Bridge, nut, saddle, set-up then done.

I will say that your number 3 is not only finished, but it is a thing of beauty--with its own unique lines and details. It looks to me like it's all dressed up in fancy attire (tux, white shirt, black bow tie) and ready to go out for New Years Eve. I love it.

Hey thanks for the kind words my friends. I sure like that Lutz from Shane. Aaron Hix - that Hormigo came from you! I cut my own binding for the first time on this one and will not be my last. What a money saver that is!

Nicely done, Doug! Your guitar has a quiet beauty about it. Looking forward to seeing the bouzouki!

Alex
