This is my first commissioned instrument. I honestly don’t think I’ll do another because of the pressure ha. I don’t see how you guys do it. BUT it’s a pretty lil’ OM!
Sitka spruce with sapelle. Rosewood binding. Gotoh 510 cosmo black tuners. Buffalo horn nut and bone saddle. Mahogany neck. Ebony headplate and such. By far the tightest build despite some finish issues...
man doing a gloss finish is a whole OTHER thing!!
But I’m happy w her!

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.
